dc.description.abstracten This study analyzes the evolution of political discourse in the Ukrainian Parliament from 2014 to 2023. By employing Natural Language Processing (NLP) techniques, particularly topic modeling, we categorize parliamentary issues into short-term (rel- atively easy to solve) and long-term (required a lot of time to solve) problems. The research further compares parliamentary topics with news media to assess the align- ment between legislative priorities and public concerns. Our findings provide insights into recurring themes and emerging trends in Ukrainian political discourse, highlight- ing areas for policy improvement and future research. As a result of our study we detected 32 long-term and 66 short-term groups of topics merged by similarity. In ma- jority of cases news outlets and parliament don’t have a major interception of topics, but there are some exceptions in some period of times. uk
