dc.description.abstracten	Reforms of metropolitan bishop of Kiyv Joseph Velamin Rutskyj in 17th century was crucial for the Basilian Order. The head of the Kyiv Metropoly urged allying monasteries in to a strict congregation, because he appreciated monkshood as a heart of the Church. This conception of reforms was fast brought in to the Mukachevo eparchy. Local bishop Petronii and his successor Ivan Hryhorovych spent many 23 years in expulsion in the Kiyv Metropoly. After comeback, they and their heir bishop Vasyl Tarasovych ruled the eparchy in 1623–1651. The idea of Church’s unity was strengthened then. Ensuing bishop Partenii Petrovych already used initials «Ordinis S. Basilii M.» in accordance with tradition of the Kiyv Metropoly. He tried to unite monasteries like metropolitan Rutskyj had done it. Ambitions for reforming the monkshood in these terrains were stimulated by permanent contact with Basilians in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Basilians in Mukachevo eparchy passed period of altercations with local bishops who pretended to stay their general priors. They repeated the way of their brothers in the Kyiv Metropoly where metropolitan bishops pretended to rule Basilian congregation of the Holy Trinity. Finally, Basilians in the Mukachevo eparchy created a monastic province in 1733.	uk
