dc.description.abstract	У статті розглядаються дії пронікейських мирян IV ст. Доведено, що від початку аріанської суперечки IV ст. не тільки духовенство, а й миряни не залишалися осторонь від неї. Історичні джерела представляють дії мирян IV ст. у найбільших церковних осередках Східної Імперії. Розглянувши активність пронікейських християн, можна ствердити, що їхні дії здебільшого мали спонтанний характер. З одного боку їхня активність проявлялася у радикальних діях, проте з іншого боку вони були готові до смиренного знесення страждань у переслідуваннях. Інколи активність пронікейських мирян мала ініціативний характер, про що свідчить просвітницька діяльність окремих людей. Саме в моральній силі і просвітницькій активності проявилася свідомість власної релігійної самобутності. Дії пронікейських мирян спричинилися до захисту і збереження нікейської доктрини у небезпеці викривлення істини віри.	uk

dc.description.abstracten	The Activity of the pro-Nicene Laymen as a Protection of Their Religious Identity The Activity of the pro-Nicene Laymen as a Protection of Their Religious Identity The article analyzes the activity of the pro-Nicene laymen of the fourth century. It is proved that from the beginning of the Arian controversy of the fourth century not only the clergy, but also laymen did not remain aloof from it. Historical sources present activity of the pro-Nicene laymen in main centres of the Eastern Church. Having examined their activity it can be affirmed that their actions were mostly spontaneous. On the one hand, sometimes they were manifested in radical actions, but on the other hand it is known also about the willingness to humble suffering in persecution. Sometimes the activity of the pro-Nicene laymen was full of initiative as evidenced in educational character of the activity of some people. This testifies a sense of their own religious identity. The actions of the pro-Nicene Christians contributed to the protection and preservation of the Nicene doctrine in danger of distortion of the truths of faith in contrast to the activity of the pro-Arian laymen which did not bring them self-affirmation, but rather brought Arianism to divisions and degradation. The churchmen and emperor should have paid attention to the position of the majority of pro-Nicene laity. In this way, the voice of laity became a pledge of invariability of the Christian faith in the period of crisis.	uk
